If you live in South Boston and leave your GPS in the car, you're asking for trouble

Between Jan. 17 and Jan. 21, 12 cars parked in South Boston were broken into and GPSes removed (some with bonus iPods). Four other cars were broken into and other things (such as gym bags) were taken. In one other case, a guy saw two other guys rummaging through his car and scared them off. Details from District C-6.

Then life miserable only in this area...Then what about the local cops activities like patroling...
It's not just in South Boston, either.
Frankly, if one leaves even a trace of their GPS in their car, even if it be only the suction cups that hold it to the brace, it's asking for trouble.
Of course, if most of the people who owned portable GPSes
actually had the common sense to remove the devices from their cars when they park them on the street overnight, they probably wouldn't need to rely on the devices to begin with.
"I don't need a GPS. I navigate by BGS - big green signs!" (disclaimer - yes, I stole this tag line from somebody on another blog)
