Just like Ender's Game, only with a happier ending

Seems a science teacher at the Dexter and Southfield schools in Brookline got some students all excited about a hypothetical case involving a spacecraft about to disintegrate as it re-entered the earth's atmosphere. Only it turned out it wasn't hypothetical at all.
