Two foreign nationals were arrested in Revere last night as they allegedly unloaded nearly 200 pounds of cocaine from a trailer, the Suffolk County District Attorney's office reports.
Gilberto Cruz Padilla, 24, of Tijuana, Mexico, and Rafael Jesus Montero, 22, of the Dominican Republic, were arrested around 8 p.m. on Railroad Street, the DA's office says, adding they were scheduled for arraignment today in Chelsea District Court. Revere and State Police and ICE made the arrests.
Investigators say the cocaine, if sold on the street, would have fetched between $8 million and $10 million.
Innocent, etc.

Not up on coke prices.
. . . Never done or bought coke so I have no frame of reference here- but my memory of reading about big busts like this in the past is that 8 to 10 million for 200 pounds of coke sounds low. I thought there was more profit in selling that crap.
Depends on how you cut it.
You can stretch a lot more out of that pile if you're willing to give a financial district lunkhead a less-pure bag to party with.
