Jamaica Plain house collapses under weight of snow

A house undergoing renovations at 20 Porter St. collapsed around 1:30 this morning, the Boston Fire Department reports. Although nobody was in the house at the time, the house next door did have to be evacuated until the remains of the structure could be taken down - and gas service shut off.

We just posted a story and photos. Firefighters are watching a nearby building at Germania and Brookside that looks like it could also come down.
