The sound of police responding to one of the Roslindale booms
By adamg on Wed, 05/02/2012 - 6:50am
An Arizona woman who goes by Sheila Aliens posted this audio of a BPD dispatcher sending officers out to investigate Sunday's mystery boom in Roslindale.
Ed. note: I listened to the calls live so, yeah, these are, in fact, what the scanner sounded like that night, except without all the annoying non-Roslindale traffic.

Front page layout
Am I the only one that sometimes sees the videos displayed out-of-order when rendered inline on the front page? Just now, the Stephen Colbert/MIT video showed up on this article instead. A few pageloads later, and one of the ads shows in that space, while the Roslindale article is now where the Colbert one should be.
I've seen it like this occasionally for a few months, and I generally only use Chrome.
No, it's not you
My apologies for the inconvenience. In the short term, reloading the page should get you the right video. In the long term, I need to finally upgrade the software and templates that run the site, which I am slowly working towards (alas, it's a major upgrade, and certain data, such as dates and time on crime posts, don't seem to want to be migrated, which means I'll have to muck around with database stuff).
No worries...
No worries Adam. I appreciate the time and hard work you put into the site and the community.
Thanks for posting my video ! :) Small correction
Hi and thanks for posting my video, how cool! I always like to dig up the police audio, when its available, from these types of mystery events.
The small correction I wanted to let you know is I'm actually in Tucson, AZ ... I had my birth state/town of Augusta, GA as my "hometown" for my youtube channel but I realize now that doesn't make much sense and have changed it.
That's all :D great site here and Roslindale is a beautiful town, saw some houses for sale on Zeller street .. so beautiful.
Meow!
Fixed
Thanks, both for the correction and for digging up the audio!
certainly :D
