No Ashmont train service this weekend to allow for bridge replacement

The Dorchester Reporter gets the scoop on plans to replace a Red Line bridge over Clayton Street in a single weekend, rather than the traditional weeks or months.

This plan worked pretty well on I-93 in Medford
the state managed to replace 14 bridges this way a couple of years ago, with all the work being done on weekends only.

This is how they did the Fairmount Line bridges, too. I can't remember exactly which ones were replaced, but, i recall they went smoothly

I was driving by there this morning and the Boston Police were on scene with a truck that had its roof ripped off by the low bridge.
