The Boston Fire Department reports a fire that started in a car parked at 83 Devon St. spread to houses on either side around 12:30 a.m.
The fire went to two alarms. Investigators are now looking to determine how the car caught on fire.

Improper storage of a car?

Boston Fire recently took away many mopeds on some excuse of being too close to buildings and being a fire hazard, and yet, here is an actual fire caused by car parked too close, not a moped or motorcycle. So much for the legitimacy of hauling off of the mopeds based on fire danger.

No one claimed it was legitimate. It was just a great way to get dirt bikes off the streets without harming anyone in a police pursuit.
If the owner thought it wasn't legitimate, they were free to get a claim ticket from the cops and get their bike. After being compared against surveillance from I-93 and any other public way available where illegal dirt bike activity was observed.
