Nothing says German engineering and supposed superior car status better than Ocean Job Lot accessories.

Maybe they're visiting from out-of-town for the week and didn't want their car banged up by people who HAVE to parallel park by feel?

1. Yes, please take a joke.

2. If they visiting from out-of-town and want to avoid to HAVE to be damaged by those who parallel park by feel, where are they going to park on the street in the nearly all Resident only Back Bay for a whole week? Hmmmmmmm?

Your so-called 'joke' wasn't that funny. I'm appreciating the amount of effort went into the construction of the device, regardless of the brand of the car. Plus, we don't know the whole story.

...Yet needs to get a BWM branded sun blocker thing so that no one forgets the make of his car.

I'm not a big beemer fan, but even I know that custom shape auto sunscreens often have the mftr logo on them. Might have even come with the car.

Well, if BMW made branded pool noodles, I'm sure he would've bought one instead of those proletarian Nerf ones.

Obviously it won't save you from a real shattering, but if my bumper was still in pristine condition, I'd definitely consider it. Oh how I miss the kevlar bumpers from my old car. The crap on my current car just doesn't cut it.

I'm pleasantly surprised by the lack of snark in the comments. It always drives me crazy how many people seem to parallel park by feel rather than not touching the cars in front / behind them. Props to the owner in the photo for trying to take good care of their stuff.
