Outage map isn't very useful
Instead of showing the actual neighborhood with the outage (Brighton), it highlights the entire city of Boston.
Cleveland circle ok
No power along comm Ave but th lights are working at comm and chestnut hill Ave and Cleveland circle
There were several fire
There were several fire trucks idling near my building (in the 2000s on Comm Ave) and I asked one of the firefighters what happened, he said there was a manhole fire a few blocks up. I have since decamped to get dinner so I don't know if they're all still there, a couple of them were leaving shortly after I talked to the one guy.
Raggedy line
At the risk of jinxing myself, the outage area seems pretty irregular around the edges. I'm two blocks away from Whole Foods in the direction of Brighton Center and I still have power. Knock on wood!
So Brookline is OK
it's only across the town line in Brighton? Really? Wuddup wit dat?
I've seen that around here, too
I live on the Cambridge-Somerville line near Davis Square, and I've seen outages here that were only on the Somerville side or only on the Cambridge side.
