Man now charged with manslaughter for shooting death of his 12-year-old brother in Mattapan, police say

Boston Police report a man already charged with improper storage of a firearm to which somebody under 18 could gain access was arrested today on additional charges that include manslaughter for the July 13 shooting death of his brother, Savion Ellis, 12, at 35 Fessenden St. in Mattapan.

Walter Hendrick, 22, is also charged with witness intimidation, illegal possession of a firearm, illegal possession of ammunition and possession of a large-capacity feeding device, police say.
