Northeastern shuts dorm meant for hundreds of freshmen due to major water damage

The Huntington News reports Northeastern had to scramble to find new rooms for incoming freshmen after finding "significant internal and external damage" in the 1909 White Hall, at Huntington Avenue and Forsyth Street in the Fenway.

and predates by decades both the university's current name and its current campus. Was it originally a private apartment building?

Looks like it was originally Roosevelt Apartments, and the Qdoba was Roosevelt Market. Picture from the corner and picture from the front.

Almost any building built before 1920 defaults to 1899 in their system.
