Once again, Green Line experience turns sour, due to another problem at Copley with the power

Noon update: The T reports the problem is fixed, but says delays could persist through the afternoon due to the need to send a wire-inspection crew along the tracks.

For the third time in less than a week, the MBTA has been forced to roll out some buses to play the role of trolleys after yet another power problem near Copley Square.

The T says it's running buses between Kenmore and Park, but says it would really rather prefer people take the Orange Line if they can.

Around 10:30, a roving UHub reporter checked in:

I was stuck for 10 minutes on the Green Line between Lechmere and Science Park. The. They crawled to Science Park and told us there was an indeterminate hold and we got off the train. We were encouraged to walk to North Station. Was told it was a wiring issue.

Now walking to North station…

That end of the line, of course, is where a trolley dropped dead on Friday. The next day, a "power problem" - a trolley pantograph got tangled up in the overhead wire - brought the line to its knees near Copley.

I mean really! There seems to be no end to the MBTA Extension problems, or problems on the MBTA---period! Rather unbelievable.

But I’m afraid Adam will run out sooner rather than later with all of these constant breakdowns.
