Teen arrested at Roslindale DYS facility for 2021 murder on Mission Hill, police say

Boston Police report arresting a 19-year-old they say shot Fermin Baez to death on June 7, 2021.

Zykaris Hamilton, 19, of Mattapan, was arrested Monday on charges he murdered Baez on Tremont Street at Burney Street. Baez, a Dorchester resident, was 32 at the time.

Police say they arrested Hamilton around 5 p.m. at the Department of Youth Services's Judge Connelly Youth Center at 450 Canterbury St. in Roslindale, which is designed as a secure facility for young male offenders.
