Man stabbed, beaten with bats by Sumner Tunnel tolls

Boston Police are swarming the area around the Sumner Tunnel and East Boston's Central Square, looking for four men - one reported covered in blood - for a savage attack near the toll plaza around 1:30 p.m.

Taken to Mass. General with life-threatening injuries, the Globe reports.

I originally heard about it on the police scanner (you can listen to the main BPD frequency here).

The link for the BPD scanner online scans the 5 main BPD channels. Drives me a bit crazy, because you can still end up missing stuff. I should take up a fund and stream every channel. ;-)

The Herald has an update: Guy was in a car in a parking lot near the tolls when four guys began smashing his windows with the bats and he tried to escape by running across the lanes at the toll plaza - after they'd stabbed him several times.
