Two shot in Roxbury, one dead

Herald identifies murder victim as Perris Haynes, father of two.
Boston Police report two men were shot around 1:30 a.m. in the area of Harrishof Street. One was pronounced dead at Brigham and Women's Hospital; the other was taken to Beth Israel and is expected to survive.
Police are looking for a gray Honda with at least two black men inside; who apparently got out of the car and began firing, then jumped back in and drove away.

is this like the first murder in Boston in weeks like almost a month? for a hot July in a major city Boston is sure looking really low in numbers. i never wanna see a Boston "cops" show again crime in Boston is not an issue numbers dont lie.

Maybe the first murder in a while but certainly not the first shooting in a month. Numbers don't lie -- let's count the total number of shootings/stabbing rather than just the number of people who die and see if crime isn't an issue.

Notice homicides are way up and 121 ppl have been shot? Is that indicative of a non problem city?
