Factually, yes the incident was adjacent to a housing project affiliated with the notoriously violent H-block gang. How the BPD has not been able to break that gang up in nearly 20 fricken years is beyond me. Major arrests were made this year and it still hasn't seemed to have put a dent into that gang.

H Block is NOT Heath Street.

Funny that you choose to lead off with that word when your post demonstrates a lack of factual knowledge.

Just because the name of a housing development includes an H does not mean it is H-Block. There have been a ton of stories on the feud between H-Block and Bromley Heath. Google is your friend.

Please THINK FOR A MINUTE. Bromley doesn't typically shoot up their own doorstep. Their H-Block rivals on the other hand do!

What does this mean vis-a-vis previous posts? What am I missing here?

Somebody is obsessed with housing projects, has a compulsive need to link their existence to any and all crime, and has no freaking clue about anything in the real world.

Big question is, why haven't all the Heath Street gangbangers been booted out of Bromley Heath? Doesn't BHA have at least some standards, like not housing violent felons, for starters? Most of the crime in the city comes from public housing developments, everyone knows it yet no one wants to talk about it. And no one seems to take notice of all the $40K+ cars parked in the lots.

how would the city take action exactly? The head of household in these housing projects rarely reports the felons living their because they do not want to lose their housing voucher. If they deny their sons, nephews, grandsons, entry into their apartment they might be harmed themselves.

The city cant send an inspector to every apartment every night, and if one of them is arrested int he apartment and the family goes homeless because they lose their voucher the family simply ends up in family shelter costing tax payers even more $$.

This isn't a city issue its a state and federal issue, our criminals should do more time for shooting someone than someone that commits mail fraud, section 8 and subsidized housing should not last a lifetime because it serves as a factor that leads to laziness.
