Women in car shot in Monument Square in Jamaica Plain

Stanley Staco reports two women were shot around 10:30 p.m. at the intersection of South and Centre streets. The women managed to drive down South Street to Metcalf Court before calling 911.

Policce are looking for two Hispanic men in a gold Stratus, who fired five or six rounds into the women's car.

Nothing about this shooting? Oh, that's right, the story of the drunken shirtless Red Sox guy who gets paid 16 million a year to play baseball is far more important!

Boston.com had a short paragraph about this, though they said it occurred at South and Child, not at the monument. Bostonherald.com had a little more information (drive by shooting while the women were sitting in a car), but noted a slightly different location at South and McBride.
