Man charged with armed robbery of Dorchester convenience store

Boston Police report arresting Ameen Lacy, 37, of Dorchester, on charges he held up the Tedschi store at 187 E. Cottage St. at gunpoint early on Dec. 23.

Based in part on tips related to surveillance photo from the robbery, police say they IDed Lacy as one of the two men who held up the Edward Everett Square store around 5:30 a.m. that day. Yesterday, they obtained a search warrant for a residence at 87 Coleman St. in Dorchester, which detectives entered with the help of the BPD SWAT unit:

Inside the residence officers located Lacy and 31-year-old Lisette Germosen of Dorchester hiding in a bathroom. Also inside the apartment was 35-year-old Dennis Taylor of Dorchester. During the subsequent search of the premises, Investigators recovered evidence linking Lacey to the December robbery including clothing, and a black replica handgun. Also recovered during the search was a Black .22 caliber rifle and drugs.

Lacy was charged with armed robbery and being in the company of a person in possession of heroin, police say, adding he also had outstanding warrants for receiving stolen goods and operating after suspension. Taylor was charged with possession of heroin with intent to distribute in a school zone and operating after suspension. Germosen was charged with being in the company of a person in possession of heroin. She had an outstanding warrant for trespassing.
