It was actually in the parking area of 9 Marion. After wondering what the commotion was I went out to look. This was about the time that the ambulance arrived.
According to Citizen App posts the weapon was a machete. After transport EMS radio was inquiring what time the tourniquet was applied since this is necessary medical info.
Due to the extent of the injuries, the scene was treated as a potential homicide and appropriate staff were called in for evidence collection.
DA Hayden was also on scene to be briefed.
Marion Street, which is a very short private way, was closed to all access for several hours. Anyone seeking access (residents) had to be escorted in and out of the area by police for a period of time while the investigation was underway.
This was a targeted crime and there was no concern for the safety of the general public.
