Man was driving around Mattapan with a loaded gun and 99 spare bullets, police say

Boston Police report gang-units officers on patrol after a recent murder arrested a man on gun charges after first stopping him because his windows seemed too darkly tinted and his registration was expired.

Police say officers were on Fottler Road in Mattapan shortly after 10 p.m. on Tuesday, when they spotted the car and pulled over Nyjohn Jones, 19.

The officers conducted a traffic stop and recognized the suspect from a prior interaction where they later learned he provided a false name during that interaction. The officers issued an exit order due to the suspects evasive behavior and refusal to be identified, upon conducting a frisk the officers located a black semi-automatic firearm in the suspects waistband. The firearm was later determined to be a 9mm P80 Ghost Gun loaded with 9 rounds in the magazine, 1 round in the chamber, the officers also located an additional 99 live 9mm rounds in the truck of the vehicle.

Jones was charged with illegal possession of a firearm, possession of a high-capacity magazine, illegal possession of a ammunition, possession of a loaded firearm on a public way, possession of cocaine with intent to distribute and possession of an illegal amount of marijuana, police say.

Innocent, etc.

If you're gonna be a gangsta, don't call attention to yourself.
Driving around with all the evidence needed to put you away in a car that screams "Pull me over" is not how to be a gangsta.
