Shhhh!

Alicia is a librarian who is training to run in the Boston Marathon. That lets her put up the absolute best banner ever for a running librarian blog.
She's also raising money for her run for Mass. Eye and Ear. John Keith, the bloggin' broker, is also running for charity, in his case, Community Servings, which helps people with terminal diseases. Any other local bloggers running the race for a good cause?

That's a big-ass banner
I don't think there are any hard and fast rules about banner size, but holy cow that's no banner! It's too big man, too big. Plus, you can barely see the title.
Now this is a banner.
Banner
hahaha, Fornya, you're right! I don't have a lot of experience with design/formatting, etc. Yours works a lot better (and it's definitely smaller.) Would you mind if I used yours? I think it's great!
Be my guest
It's pretty sloppy work on my part, and I used the first font that came up, but help yourself. Enjoy!
I added it
People have already told me that they like it better, so thank you :)
let me get this right...
The realt0r spews rude and ill-informed comments at various people and then expecdts us to give him money? i mean, I've already decided not to ever buy a house from him based just on that...
Is this Groundhog Day?
Is this Groundhog Day?
Only saints
I think so.
I'm hiking Mt. Washington
I'm hiking Mt. Washington this year to raise money for the Mt. Washington Observatory as part of the Seek the Peak fundraiser. :)
Rowr
...she can check out my books any time :-)
Running the Marathon for a good cause
Adam asks whether there are any other local bloggers running the race for a good cause. I can name at least one: Kelly, a former student of mine, is running for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society.
Dana-Farber Marathon Challenge
I'm running my fourth Boston and raising cash for cancer research at Dana-Farber. Doing great on the fundraising front, though definitely not blogging as much as I'd like. And when I do blog, I'm mostly just whining.
Anyway, http://runjonellerun.blogspot.com -- and when you are happily hunkered down in your warm house on a winter weekend, eating French Toast, have some pity for us marathoners slogging through the snow. (See what I mean with the whining?)
