Somebody's got to say it...
Portrait of a Dealer As a Middle-Aged Man?
Ah!
Yes, that's the headline I should have written.
dur, just read your headline
dur, just read your headline and realized I made the same joke.
Yeah, but ...
Yours was better.
Bloomsday is Doomsday...
Instead of "Ulysses" you could say they are "Uselesses"
is that too far a stretch?
(I always knew my English major with a concentration in Irish Literature and Dramatic Arts would amount to something someday. Me makin' wisecracks and bad puns on a universal aggregator of boston news...)
I'll bet
James Joyce could've written a novel about drugs and life in Southie
OK....
Either the BPD wants you to think they're doing a good job getting machine guns off the streets (even if it means lying to you), or they can't tell a cheap toy AK-47 from a real one.
Neither would fill me with confidence, were I still living there. But, I'm not, so I'll just laugh at them from afar.
Actually....
That *could* be a 22-caliber AK replica. I'll have to look into it.
looks like
Looks like an Armscor AK 47/22. Not sure if anyone made a full-auto version though.
The guns and ammo
What BPD reports confiscating (in addition to drugs):

I gotta refrain from posting when drinking Smuttynose.

You can buy parts and machine it a little, but knowing the people in question I highly doubt it. knowing the area, it's more than likely he got it in trade. I'm kind of surprised since I knew dude as a smalltime neighborhood pot dealer when I lived there about a decade ago. Kind of stupid that he was still doing it out of his home and had upgraded to coke and pills. Some people never grow up it seems.
those were the days
yes, rick was just a pot dealer a decade ago but he expanded into better and more expensive things several years back.
They Beat It!!!
They beat all the charges against them due to police fouling up investigation!!!!!
