Political activists shouldn't be the ones watching out.
You: can't make someone delete pictures and certainly can't arrest them for refusing to do so...especially when you're a University police officer and you're not on university property.
I think we need to have photographers show up regularly at protests in Harvard square and be sure to get photos of anyone else with a camera. And make sure people use multiple memory cards and hand them off to friends so that if someone is arrested, the photos aren't "lost".
So, out of curiosity, were the pictures deleted? If not, I hope someone will release them so we can post it everywhere. Teach cops a lesson about civil liberties, and how to stay "undercover"...people can only GUESS if you're undercover, until you start going all Stasi, at which point people whip out cameras, etc...
