Why are the feds searching cars at Alewife?

Zolok reports it wasn't just MBTA cops searching cars today - TSA agents were in the house as well:

WBZ radio said that today's T search training was a combined effort between the MBTA and the TSA. Maybe that's it.

Arrest for refusing bag check?

I just noticed this in yesterday's Herald article: "Anyone who refuses a bag check could be escorted off the property or arrested."

I hope this is just the Herald's usual inability to get a fact straight, and the state isn't trying to revoke the right to refuse a search and leave the station.
