Movie to be filmed in the Boston area to actually be about the Boston area

Movie about Paul Revere's ride slated for filming this fall.

"The goal is to shoot in Massachusetts," said Dawson, who mentioned Concord and Lexington as areas of interest. "We have to make the numbers work."

Via Beantown Bloggery, who can't fathom the idea they would actually film this anywhere else:

No one wants to see him riding through the hills of Vermont to warn about the British.

Having Paul Revere ride down Tremont street in front of Mission Church might be a problem. I'd go with Vermont.

Dawes, not Revere

William Dawes' route took him past the current site of that Roxbury church, then on through Brookline, Allston, and Cambridge.

Revere's ride started in Charlestown and continued through today's Somerville, Medford, and Arlington.

Could be a problem

Lexington and Concord don't look much like they did in 1775. They'd have to hide the Minuteman Statues, for starters.
