America's last lighthouse keeper

Reuters interviews Sally Snowman, the keeper of Boston Light. She has Ted Kennedy to thank for her job - he got a bill passed 20 years ago that requires the Coast Guard to keep an actual lighthouse keeper on duty there.

The Friends of the Boston Harbor Islands run a great tour in conjunction with the National Park Service:

You can actually climb up into the light room and stand in front of the light. Very cool.
