Enuh Cork reports the automated announcer at Malden took yesterday morning off:

... [S]o I did not know the exact moment when the next train to Forest Hills was approaching or arriving. It's hard to understand how I got on the train without any warning.

Last summer, someone tinkered with the volume at Green Street.

From (literally) blocks away, you could hear snippets as the amplifier overloaded and cut out partially through each word: "BOOOOOOOONG! ATTENTION, TH NEX ORA LIN TRA FORE HI IS N AR ING"

Meanwhile, MBTA Transit Police received dozens of reports from nearby residents of suspicious packages in their freezers, and the local church pastor received many requests to address why God was speaking to them in their dreams, and why safety was his Number One Priority.
