Ignorant?

How is "go back where you came from" ignorant? If you want to suck as a driver, don't visit our city.

Different experience for me

By Matt (not verified) | Mon, 06/09/2008 - 8:54am

I had a different experience and Im only a few minutes from East Boston.

I was in the super market on Saturday buying frozen popsicle treats for a party and there were three registers open, all stuffed to the gills with people who did their years worth of shopping that day apparently. The woman in front of my line turned around to the person behind her and said you only have two items go ahead in front of me. She then turned and saw me with my frozen popsicles and said you better go ahead of me as well. I thanked her perfusly and as I was walking out I saw her do it AGAIN! I made it to my BBQ on time , with frozen treats thanks to her.

Long story short, not everybody sucks...

She let *three* people go

She let *three* people go ahead of her in line? This one definitely needs to go back where she came from -- which must be Mass Mental!

Thats the problem

By Matt (not verified) | Mon, 06/09/2008 - 11:18am

Thats part of the problem. A woman with over 100 items, quite a bit of it looked to be fruit and other non scannable items (and a fistful of coupons,) makes a conscious decision to let people cut her in line who each only have one or two items (the store doesnt have a fast checkout lane) and she must be "crazy"

Maybe outside of our young urban gentrified existence there are people who are nice to strangers at the local market, who will strike up a conversation at the bus stop, and who are considerate of others. I like to think that she saw my frozen treats and knew that somewhere there were kids waiting for a cold popsicle on a hot day. If thats crazy sign me up
