Even the insane can put up Web pages now

Margalit reports on "Insane Dad," a Newton father who has taken such an intense dislike to a group of Newton kids that he put up a Web page with their photos and detailed descriptions of why he hates them. The page came down in about four hours after Margalit and others complained to the hosting company. Naturally, it doesn't end there.

Heh heh...
Not to make light of a situation that is obviously very frustrating, but every time the author wrote "Insane Dad," all I could think of is some sort of comedic bumbling superhero named Insane Dad.
He's got an alter ego. He usually sits pleasantly in his armchair reading the newspaper, or maybe even plays catch with his son in the idyllic backyard.
But by night, he morphs into...Insane Dad. I don't know where I'm going with this, but it just cracks me up.
I have no opinion on the
I have no opinion on the subject...
What is the fifth word in the phrase "robuy sohi voxu apafak gaf"?
I dunno.
Pot...the kettle is calling
After following the link to the original blog, I think there's plenty of crazy to go around...
I see no point to reading
I see no point to reading one person's side of the story. For all we know, this woman could be the whole problem.
especially when she admits
especially when she admits this guy had fotos from some of the childrens' facebook pages doing "illegal" (her word) activities
My thoughts
Exactly, she is the only one who gets a say in this by only reading her blog post. It's quite possible her little snowflake is really a hell-raiser when not around her mother. It seems there are already at least two kids who she knows won't likely control themselves around the guy according to her story. Others post pics of themselves doing illegal things on Facebook (and her answer is just to make sure they're deleted..?). On top of that, she's evidently called the police multiple times but little seems to have been done. This suggests to me that she might be over-dramatizing the events.
Regardless ...
A grown man putting up a web page with a bunch of other people's kids and his various grudges strikes me as rather immature. Sounds like his ISP agreed, as they dumped the site rather quickly.
A continuous stream of repeated calls harassing people is kind of creepy and most certainly illegal, if I read my "report of annoying and harassing phone calls" form correctly. (I pulled a copy from an earlier aggressive telemarketing incident).
Somebody needs to get over high school here. Bigtime.
Assuming
That is assuming that she's relaying the information without any exaggeration or that the person telling her about the phone calls was accurate as well. Maybe he called to first tell them that their kid was responsible for property damage and he wanted compensation for it. After they agree that the damage will be paid for, he tells them it's $100 and they think that's unreasonable and hang up on him. He then calls back a few times trying to get them to hold up their end of the agreement.
They then talk to the woman who wrote the blog and tell her that he's calling them repeatedly and raving into the phone about something their kid didn't do. Now she can go around talking about how the guy is "Insane" and harassing people by phone because she herself isn't as informed about the guy's motives as she thought.
She already acknowledges that part of his rant is that he's trying to get "his side of the story" out. If the kids are lying to the parents about what they do to this guy and his daughter (imagine that...kids lying) AND if the adults are lying to each other (based in part on the kids' lies or not) because now they are all unified against the single common enemy AND if now they are relaying their own and others' cluttered opinions (and lies) to the world via blog (where there's absolutely no parity at all)...then that's what we just read and some accept it and now want to know what kind of psycho stalker perv lives in the town.
I'm not saying the guy's sane or not, but the whole thing stinks of a railroading just because a group of kids wants to outcast one of the other kids. It wouldn't be the first time our region has ever had a witch hunt...
Wearing Sockpuppets
Three anons in a row agreeing with each other? Really? Amazing.
Three people disagree with
Three people disagree with you, so it must be a plot? Must be the Jews - they're at the bottom of every plot, right? Try a tin-foil hat.
Howdy
Hi! I'm yet another anon! It's a chorus of one!
It isn't that they "disagree with me" - it is that it is silly to repeatedly agree with yourself while pretending to be a multitude. Get a log-in already!
