If you're looking for a local farmer's market

Don't go to massfarmersmarkets.org. Looks like it's been hacked. Aaron Weber reports getting unsafe warnings when he tries to link to it. Naturally, I'm an idiot, so I tried anyway, and got what appears to be an ISP home page.

The Mass. Dept. of Agricultural Resources maintains a list of Farmers' Markets:

DNS issue

I called Jeff Cole at MA Farmers Markets and left a message telling him about this. I imagine he’ll get it tomorrow and be able to take care of it.

It’s not clear whether someone stole his DNS information (creating the illegal redirect that Google is noticing) or if something else has gone wrong between him, his registrar (GoDaddy), and any possible web hosts he might have been using to house the website. But at least he’s aware of the issue now.

Chowhound had a nice little

Chowhound had a nice little discussion a few days ago about the offerings at some of the local markets including a response from an employee for Mass Farmers Markets re: the web site:

I work for Mass Farmers Markets, and unfortunately our website is down ... has been down for several days and won't be up for another few. Very sorry for the inconvenience, we're working on it but the non-profit approach to web hosting has us a bit stymied (i.e. our pro bono guy is on vacation!). In the meantime, check out http://www.mass.gov/agr/massgrown/farmers_markets.htm which also has dates and times for all the markets state-wide.

Ok

Alright, sounds like they use that company as a web host and since the site is somehow broken, the web host injects its own site in its place instead of throwing an error. This leads Google to believe that the web host is trying to usurp the domain info and therefore throws the caution/warning that everyone sees when Googling for the website.

It's too bad their web guru didn't temporarily leave someone the info on how to reboot/fix the site in his absence. Oh well.

another option
