Somebody slashed the tires on 40 cars in Crystal Lake on Sunday.

Um, $250-300 per tire? Even if you figure $50 for mounting and balancing, that's still a huge ripoff. Most passenger tires should be well under $100 each. Only low-profile, high performance summer tires or fancy snows will get over $100...
