There are precious few celebrities who really completely retire from the spotlight when they step down. Johnny Carson comes to mind as one who assiduously avoided publicity once he quit. Yaz is another.

I have great respect for the man, as a man. He could have been cashing in on all sorts of gimcrack crap over the years, but he chose to retain his dignity.

(He may have learned his lesson early on, from "Big Yaz" bread, but still...)
