Not the best way to start the day

Brookline Police report what happened when a Babcock Street resident got in his car yesterday morning:
Victim reports that after backing out of his driveway he felt as though he had a flat tire. After examining the vehicle he observed that every tire of his vehicle had four out of five lug nuts stolen. Total damage reported at $1100.

Sixteen lug nuts=$1,100? What were they, platinum?
he drove without the lugnuts
could have bent the rims, wrecked the tires, screwed up the breaks...
Ouch!!
Somebody somewhere has it in for somebody..Otherwise, why would they do something like that?
