I found out its a player
I found out its a player piano, so its playing itself, which explained why it was there when I stopped by in the morning, and still going strong later in the day when I swung back around. At first I thought we had someone with extreme stamina on our hands. Ive seen it a few times, not sure how it gets there.
I stopped by the new coffee house behind where it plays, grabbed a coffee, and sat on that brick wall for a bit enjoying the tunes. I was in Cambridge on Monday and it was in a different place then it is in this picture, so this must be a different day.
It sure beats the puppet guy.
really rare- surprising!
More in that someone would risk transporting (and putting out on the street) such a rare and valuable piano.
Very cool, however. What's the usual schedule?
New guy?
Or is this the same person that used to come down to Brattle Square every weekend, like 10+ years ago? That guy had a little car with a trailer (like the boxy, small U-Haul ones) that would be parked nearby That guy must have lived up near Porter Square, because I saw the trailer on the street on Richdale a few times.
