Leave it alone

If the sheep is happily surviving in that location, why not just leave it?

They don't want it to wander

By stephencaldwell | Mon, 09/08/2008 - 1:32pm

They don't want it to wander into the road and cause an accident.

Ewe don't say!

By adamg | Mon, 09/08/2008 - 1:35pm

Maybe they should transfer the sheep to that place in Dedham where they brought Mr. Gobbles for the same reason.

Where someone might ram into it?

Running into a full grown sheep...

By stephencaldwell | Mon, 09/08/2008 - 1:50pm

at highway speeds would really get your goat.

Because...

By Eighthman | Mon, 09/08/2008 - 1:36pm

The story says it's in the median. Somehow it survived crossing the highway to get there -- it might not be so lucky when it decides to leave for a greener pasture (or the winter). Someone go pick it up and take it to the Big E.

Is it happy?

By Biggie_Robs | Mon, 09/08/2008 - 1:54pm

Don't they like to live with other sheep or something?

Send in the chicken!

By SwirlyGrrl | Mon, 09/08/2008 - 1:45pm

to cross the road and lead it to the other side ...

Maybe it's in the median, hiding out, because it is on the lamb?

Perhaps that other sheep will tell it to get the flock out of there.

I'm surprised commenters aren't flocking here

By shane_curcuru@d... | Mon, 09/08/2008 - 1:49pm

Maybe afraid they'll get shorn off too quickly? Too sheepish to jump into the bahnyahd? Bad puns give them the woolies? Don't want to get penned in? Waiting for someone else to farm out the comments? Think it's too much of a chore? Worried about trespassing on some other man's field? Just figuring they'll wait until the cows come home?

(Think that's enough?)

You know

I'm sure there are plenty of sheep that would like to live where this one is, though there are lots of others who wouldn't

after all, it's in the median...

yeah,

By Brett | Mon, 09/08/2008 - 2:20pm

...the grass is always greener on the other side.

As jokes go

By fenwayguy | Mon, 09/08/2008 - 2:24pm

As jokes go, that was average.

But at least ...

It wasn't mean.

Can she continue in this mode?

By SwirlyGrrl | Mon, 09/08/2008 - 3:17pm

Or is it mowed? You decide - after some rumination of course.

How did she get out there? Deviance? I'm wondering if it was Ovine Aviation ...

that sheep mostly like to be with their phlox.

Where's the problem?

By BrucemB | Mon, 09/08/2008 - 4:46pm

Free food for the homeless.

Oh, sure

By adamg | Mon, 09/08/2008 - 4:47pm

Thanks for mutton!

I understand the concerns

By Kaz | Mon, 09/08/2008 - 4:56pm

These are Mexican sheep brought over the border hidden in trucks. That's a real problem since they are so close to the roadway. Mexican sheep are very good at making butter.

The risk is that if they are so near 495 and 95, their owners may receive a citation for making an illegal ewe churn on a busy highway.
