Wouldn't surprise me in the least to hear he'd set a celebratory bonfire, now that the Sox appear to be back in their George Bailey role so he can sneer at them from his ornate office (and never mind the Sox have come back from similar precipices before).
On the side that faces downtown, there is a section of the white outer area on the top left (near the top of the triangle) that is turned off/broken. I went by around 6:30 today and took a look and saw a chunk of the white out even though it was during the "all on" part of the cycle. The triangle is fine and so is the word CITGO.

Citgo sign still working
The damage couldn't have been too bad, because the sign was working at 7 pm when I crossed the Longfellow on the Red Line.
Section out
