that's my favorite view of the Hancock
from a particular spot where the building looks like a flat pane of glass, with no depth, against the sky. There's another angle where the narrow end of the building also looks flat.

One thing about being underground now when you drive through Boston you miss random chances of catching the John Hancock in its different angles as you drove through the city. Youd catch a glimpse of it from almost every angle at one point or another. Now you lose it fairly quick before you duck under the city via 93. Not that Im complaining, but the one good thing about the elevated artery was some of the interesting views of buildings you would catch on your way through. I havent laid eyes on Rowes Wharf since the highway was taken down actually...
