Person rescued from Red Line tracks at North Quincy
By adamg on Thu, 10/22/2009 - 5:28pm
Fell off the platform at the station shortly before 4 p.m., was rescued by Quincy firefighters and Quincy and MBTA police, according to a tweet from the MBTA Transit Police Intelligence Unit. The incident briefly backed up outbound Red Line traffic and meant turning off the power, which left passengers in at least one train in the dark.

Climbing up a 3 foot ledge
Climbing up a 3 foot ledge requires firefighters now?
Wondered about that, but then stopped wondering
I mean, it's reasonable enough that some people wouldn't be able to get themselves up over that, but wouldn't it be easy to have a couple people do a wrist hold and pull the person up while s/he climbs up the side?
Then I realized that, no, the person would just stay down there and no one would likely come over and help.

If you are injured it does
People who can't control their bodies well are more likely to accidentally fall, too.
I believe it does
when you are drunk and stuck between two train cars.
MBTA Transit Police Intelligence Unit?
Can we get an MBTA Intelligence Unit, too?
The mind reels at the possibilities.
