Obama pays off Cambridge parking tickets a tad late

Somerville News reports that Barack Obama acquired lots of Cambridge parking tickets while a Harvard Law student, but that he finally paid them off in January - 16 years after he graduated:

Records from the Cambridge Traffic, Parking and Transportation office show that between Oct. 5, 1988 and Jan. 12, 1990 Obama was cited for 17 traffic violations, sometimes committing two in the same day. The abuses included parking in a resident permit area, parking in a bus stop and failing to pay the meter. Twelve of Obama's 17 tickets were given to him on Massachusetts Avenue. ...

There's at least one Cambridge parking ticket from the 70's that I never paid. Obama gave in far too easily.

I guess that Jennifer Psaki, Obama's aid, thinks that being a cheating sack a sh.t is not relevant to getting elected as President.

I dunno, I lived and worked in Cambridge for 17 years and always managed to take care of my parking tickets. Guess that means I will never be able to run for office.
