Mitt Romney's favorite novel is Battlefield Earth, one of the last works by sci-fi writer turned religious figure L. Ron Hubbard that was later turned into one of the worst movies ever made. A Romney spokesman later clarified that just because he likes the book doesn't mean he's secretly a Scientologist or anything.

...did people need a Romney spokesman to come out and clarify anything? He said that in the actual interview.
