Boston Police report officers who initially stopped a driver for speeding in the area of Washington and Erie streets Friday night wound up arresting him for the gun with the "extended magzine" and the 22 bullets loaded into it they found in his car. Read more.

AAA Grocery, 181 Washington St. at Erie Street in Dorchester, was held up around 9:50 p.m. by a man in a black mask who showed a gun, got some cash, then ran down Erie Street.
A man was shot repeatedly on Erie Street near Merrill Street around 10:30 p.m. The homicide unit was called in due to the severity of the victim's injuries.
Stanley Staco reports that man may have been shot when he refused to give up his car.
Victim identified as Shamel Winston Atkins, 31, of Dorchester.
Man shot, on Erie Street, just past Washington Street, around 6:30 p.m. He was taken to a local hospital, where he died, police say. Read more.
Boston Police report two men arrested following a traffic stop at Washington and Erie streets in Dorchester early Friday were charged with gun offenses, the passenger for allegedly packing a loaded gun in his clothes, the driver for the loaded gun police say they found in the car. Read more.
The Erie Street Market, at the corner of Erie and Ellington streets, was held up by a man with a shotgun shortly before 10:30 p.m.
Victim identified as Sarbryon Loving, 39.
Boston Police report a man was shot shortly before 2 a.m. at 38 Erie St. in Dorchester. He was brought to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead. Read more.
