Boton Media Makers met at Doyle's Cafe in Jamaica Plain to talk about new media. They meet on the first Sunday of every month at 10:00. Meetings are open to all.

Looking toward the Great Blue Hill (I think; somebody please correct me if I'm wrong) through a tunnel out of Fort Warren on Georges Island.

The fort is great for such framed views, given that it has zillions of slits and holes for cannons, guns and binoculars:

Edge of Censorship

Paul Keleher happened to be in South Station yesterday when "Edge of Darkness" crews took over parts of the place to film their movie. He reports:

The South Station was full of electrical cables, equipment trunks, lighting arrays and cameras, not to mention a small army of the film crew. Security was very tight, yet polite. I was asked to stop photographing a few times.

Since South Station is a public place, Keleher declined.

It was looking pretty ominous this afternoon over Rte. 9 in Chestnut Hill. But by early evening, it was pretty calm off Hough's Neck in Quincy:

As night (and a light rain) fell, there were about a dozen surfers in the water at Nantasket Beach. But the waves weren't all that big:
