Then a 14 year old teenager, Lisa Allen came forward Wednesday to tell her side of the story when Republican candidate for US Congress former police officer Sgt Jeff Perry, failed to protect Ms. Allen from Officer Scott Flanagan who performed an illegal strip-search of her. Police officers are entrusted to, and take an oath to, serve and protect. Ms. Allen said Officer Perry protected Officer Flanagan but not her. Ms Allen went further and said Perry "should not be in a position of power."

Sam Obar is not happy with his man's camapaign:

We are now less than three weeks away, and I know for a fact many people, including many I have spoken to, still have no idea who Baker is. He has not gotten his message out to voters, he has not highlighted his record at Harvard Pilgrim, and he has not promptly and properly responded to accusations against him about his work on the Big Dig. He has also done a shoddy job indeed of utilizing the media to reach out to voters.

Remember when Scott Brown said he'd be an independent senator who voted the interests of Massachusetts? Well not so fast. Scott Brown and every single other Republican senator voted against a bill Thursday that would aid small businesses by cutting taxes and making credit available. Just as a reminder, what was it Minority Leader Mitch McConnell said when Brown joined the Senate?

from FDL Seminal by Jason Rosenbaum:

After giving Senator Scott Brown exactly what he wanted and paying for the Wall Street reform bill on the backs of taxpayers by using TARP money instead of the proposed tax on big banks – which in Brown’s twisted world constitutes eliminating a tax – Brown’s still not on board with the final bill. Here’s his statement:
“I appreciate the conference committee revisiting the Wall Street reform bill and removing the $19 billion bank tax. Over the July recess, I will continue to review this important bill. I remain committed to putting in place safeguards to prevent another financial meltdown, ensure that consumers are protected, and that this bill is paid for without new taxes."

Scott Brown seems to have become much more cautious as he matured. Once known for wearing pink leather shorts on a date with his future wife, Scott

....believes any vote for repeal [of Don't Ask Don't Tell] should be put off until the Pentagon has time to formulate a plan for implementing any new policy.

"I am keeping an open mind, but I do not support moving ahead until I am able to finish my review, the Pentagon completes its study, and we can be assured that a new policy can be implemented without jeopardizing the mission of our military," Brown said in a statement provided to the Globe.

Will Scott finish his review before he goes on vacation? What about the military men and women who are being outed and losing their careers while Scott Brown dithers. How does that make us safe?

There's a reason I ask. Ah, Norma, Boston just isn't the same without you.

The Globe reports Brown wants to strip Americans of citizenship if convicted of supporting a terrorist group. All American citizens, even ones born here. You know, of course, who else had laws to strip citizens of their most fundamental right for supposed offenses against the State (but if not, here's a clue).

Steve Syre shows how Brown's assertion that Massachusetts would lose up to 35,000 financial-services jobs if the government re-regulates financial services is based on incorrect assumptions. "Simply nuts," to be exact.

Brown to give Tea Party rally in Boston a pass; flack earns pay by claiming senator who found time to campaign for John McCain in Arizona now too busy to show up in the largest city in his state.

By now, we've all read the full-page ad by Rachel Maddow in The Boston Globe this past week. We know that Senator Scott Brown created the rumor that Maddow was planning to run against him. We know that Brown has stirred the pot, repeating the fictional story to conservative talk shows, campaign stops, newspapers like The Boston Herald, and his most important audience: potential donors.

He's lying. He continues to lie.

True confession: I grew up in your basic liberal New York Democratic household (I can hear you going: Noooo!). So when I went down to New York for a funeral a couple weeks back, family members kept asking me, basically, what the hell happened in Massachusetts (well, to be clear, not at the funeral).

Now local Republicans are getting a taste of that: Garrett Quinn rounds up local Republican reaction to the outrage from true believers westa Wuhstuh:

Rightwingers try to console themselves that Brown actually voted with Democrats on something.

Closer to home, Marjorie Aron-Barrons give Brown an attaboy for exercising some independent thought.

I didn't vote for Brown, doubt I will in two years, but in this video, is he really attempting to legitimize a suicidal murderer or is he just being incredibly clumsy in a live interview? I think he's trying to deflect Faux's attempt to make the loser a martyr, because he says he hopes the guy isn't connected to the sort of real anger he claims got him elected, but that he just completely mangled the thought. But maybe I'm missing something (if so, fire away):
