A Celebration of Carl Sciortino: A Fundraiser at Club Cafe
Whether it's protecting marriage equality, fighting for fair treatment for transgender people, or standing up on behalf of equality for LGBT people, State Representative Carl Sciortino has been there helping lead the charge every single time.
As one of our only four openly-gay legislators inside the State House, Carl has become the most outspoken champion of LGBT equality in the House since winning his seat in an historic upset of an anti-equality incumbent four years ago.

When did Rhode Island annex Medford?
John Mullaney reports:
So just moments ago two state police cars went by me in Medford. The only thing is these were Rhode Island State Police cars. The second of the two put on its blue lights to go through a red light to keep up with the first who had made the light. Then 10 minutes later I see another RISP cruiser this time an SUV in a parking lot. Now what the hell is going on?? Have we been invaded?? I'm a long way from the border here.

What happened at Wellington this morning?
An Orange Line rider wonders what was up around 9 a.m.:
Yellow taped off parts of the parking lot - tons of cops, a few posted around with binoculars looking at the parking lot. I overheard something about a red car. No one would tell me what was up, but it sure looked like something had the MBTA and police crews out in full force. ...
