Awaiting the churning fury of Hanna's lashing bands of rain

It was looking pretty ominous this afternoon over Rte. 9 in Chestnut Hill. But by early evening, it was pretty calm off Hough's Neck in Quincy:

As night (and a light rain) fell, there were about a dozen surfers in the water at Nantasket Beach. But the waves weren't all that big:

You better watch your step in Cambridge, Brookline, Somerville, Winthrop and Quincy
They're installing street surveillance cameras for the first time, the Cambridge Chronicle reports. It's part of a $4.6-million Homeland Security grant (Winthrop as terrorist target?) to deploy 100 new cameras in greater Boston.
Boston, Chelsea, Everett, and Revere are also installing cameras under the program, but they already had cameras in place.

Herbicide Company that can eradicate Poison Ivy/Sumac/Oak??
HELP!!! Does anyone know a company or individual who can identify and spray to destroy poison ivy? This is the 4th time I've caught it since May, and I am ready to just concrete my whole yard in West Roxbury & paint it green (there goes the neighborhood!!)....I have searched the internet to no avail. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Why does the Blue Hills Reservation need a replica of Fenway Park?
Not a clue, but apparently, a bill before the governor would let a developer recreate the baseball field in what is supposed to be (at least, I thought) a bucolic nature sanctuary. Background info on the field.

Rightwing bloggers call for William Delahunt's head
Or if not his head, at least formal censure. At issue: What he said to the vice president's chief of staff about al Queda: Did he say he was glad al Queda could see what the guy looked like?
Bostonmaggie, a Delahunt constituent, agrees:
... I love where I live. I couldn't live elsewhere. But there is a price to be paid and having this asshat for a Congressional representative is part of that price.
