Ward 19 Democratic Committee Meeting on Monday

The Ward 19 Democratic Committee will meet Monday, March 3, at 7:00 PM at the Roslindale Community Center. The Committee welcomes any voters registered as Democrats in Ward 19 who are interested in participating in Committee events, and contributing to our mission, to attend our meetings.

All delegates to the 2014 Massachusetts Democratic Caucus who reside in Ward 19 are encouraged to attend.

Roslindale Square is accessible by the commuter rail and by bus from Forest Hills Station. On-street parking is available.

The Ward 19 Democratic Committee will meet Monday, January 6, at 7:00 PM at the Roslindale Community Center. The Committee welcomes any voters registered as Democrats in Ward 19 who are interested in participating in Committee events, and contributing to our mission, to attend our meetings. At this meeting, we will be preparing for our February caucus.

Roslindale and JP lose dedicated activist

With sadness, the Ward 19 Democratic Committee reports the death of longtime Committee member and local activist Wayne Wilson Jr., on November 15, 2013. Wayne was a tireless worker for many Democratic and progressive causes, and an active candidate for the Massachusetts State Senate in the Norfolk & Suffolk district. He is survived by his wife Irene, his sons Tommy and Robbie, and his daughter, Kristyn Paige. Visiting hours will be at Gormley Funeral Services in West Roxbury, MA, on Thursday, November 21, from 4:00 to 7:00 PM.

Forum Cancelled: Ward 19 Democratic Committee will have monthly meeting

The Ward 19 Democratic Committee will meet today, Monday, October 7, at 7:00 PM at the Roslindale Community Center. The Committee welcomes any voters registered as Democrats in Ward 19 who are interested in participating in Committee events, and contributing to our mission, to attend our meetings.

The previously planned forum for the mayoral candidates that was to be held October 8 has been cancelled.

Bennett's statement is as follows and he will be explaining to the voters why they should vote for him tomorrow morning Friday May 31th at 7AM on TOUCH 106.1FM:

"With the appointment of Andrea Cabral to the Public Safety Cabinet Position in the Governor’s administration, there will be a special election in September 2014 to elect a full-time Sheriff to serve out the remainder of a six year term which expires in 2016. Therefore, I ask for your support for Sheriff of Suffolk County. I am starting early in effort to run an aggressive and triumphant campaign.

As Sheriff, I will oversee a $122 million budget, the Nashua Street Jail and South Bay House of Correction, and the Civil Service Process here in the county.
