Dan Dunn reports that the quarterly newsletter of the state Office of Campaign and Political Finance has a fun little note about a ruling involving former Senate President Robert Travaglini, who apparently could not account for donations raised in 2005:

... The committee held fundraisers in 2005, but did not present approximately $80,000 in contributions to the bank for cashing and deposit because these checks were lost or misplaced. OCPF determined that the checks were not cashed by the committee or any other entity. ...

Carpundit reports that whoever was driving the car with the SENATE 1 plates really should learn how to drive in a winter storm:

Outraged Liberal: They must have had a special on crow in the Statehouse snack bar.

Increasingly contrarian former Republican state Rep. Peter Morin compares Patrick's $1.5 million inaugural bashes with Mitt Romney's $1.3 million inaugural bashes and calls fellow Republican bloggers a bunch of hypocrites for complaining about Patrick's parties.

Democratic bloggers were all over Reed Hillman when the news came out that Kerry Healey's tough-on-drunk-driving running mate had sought to help out a friend seeking a pardon for three OUI arrests.

Now the Herald breaks the news that state Senate President Robert Travaglini did something very similar.
