Step 1: Arrange for the outbound 65 bus, which is supposed to arrive at Brookline Ave & Longwood Ave at 5:19 PM, to arrive at 5:35. That way the trip to Washington St & Comm Ave will take half an hour, instead of 15-20 minutes.
Step 2: Combine all of the current public service announcements into one long one. "When riding MBTA buses, please remember to exit through the rear doors, make priority seating available to seniors and persons with disabilities, and report any unattended bags or suspicious behavior to the driver. Thank you." Play this announcement every 10 minutes.
Step 3: In addition to running the new mega-announcement, play several new mini-announcements about moving to the back of the bus, taking your trash with you, etc. Preface these with a four-note alert sound. Play at least one of these every five minutes or so.
Step 4: Interrupt any public service announcement every time the bus approaches a stop or a cross street, or somebody requests a stop. This will ensure no more than five minutes of silence at any point. When the bus sits in traffic through two cycles of the same stoplight, play an announcement that the bus will be standing by in order to maintain schedules.
Any other bus lines similarly afflicted, or am I just lucky?

The shuttle bus from Airport station to Logan has racks where people can put their suitcases rather than having to haul them onto their seats or keep them in the aisle.
During the trip, it plays a security announcement asking people to report all those unattended bags. I wonder what the driver would do if someone did?
It could be worse

They could start following the music-on-hold trend of prefixing every informational announcement with "Did you know?"
Did you know that if you see something, you can say something? did you know that you should exit through the rear doors? Did you know that you can find out more information about the MBTA on our web site?
