Although it probably would have been brilliant to build a system for highlighting stories you "frickin' like," those are a Facebook Thing. If you have a Facebook account, you know what to do: Click on one to tell your followers that you appreciated a post (I initially had "Recommend," since a fair amount of the stuff I post is about stuff nobody would actually "like," but, eh, Facebook). If you don't have a Facebook account, you can ignore the buttons and, fortunately, the sun will continue to rise each morning.

Can it be made smaller at least?

Is it just my laptop or does the Uhub site now 'bounce' up and down for others? It's just a little bit of bouncing then it stops, but each time I scroll, I get the bounce right after I stop scrolling.
Because the new UHub is light and bouncy?

Which OS and browser do you use?
Oh, yeah, you're right!

Now, of course, I'm not going to not notice it.
I think what's happening is most of the page is "painted" on your screen and then the Facebook buttons come marching in and parking themselves on the page. Kinda makes sense, since they have to check in with the mothership to see how many people have "liked" a given story, which takes a bit longer than just simple old HTML, but I'll see if there's a way to deal with it (such as, as J suggested, making the buttons smaller, so they fit in the same basic size as the other menu-ish links at the bottom of posts).
Hmm...

I'm not sure I "like" the new ability to "like" this stuff -- for me it just slows down the page loading by a VERY large amount and its about impossible to scroll until everything communicates with Facebook to see how many people liked or didn't like a specific post. Perhaps only put the "like" feature on the "full story" post (I.E. when a user clicks the title to see comments or the extended story, etc)?
And to minimize the bouncing (which happens for me a little, but its manageable since soooooooooooooooo many other pages on the net does it) perhaps add a table and define a height?
(Firefox 3.5.x on Windows Vista [ugh, i know] system with a computer that is relatively up-2-date.)
Thanks

Hadn't realized it was slowing down pages. Your idea on just putting it on the entire-post pages, especially until I figure out the bouncy-bouncy and the page slowdowns, is a good one. Done.

Wow indeed. I was done reading about the lady that ate glass and was about to go to the one below it and the page scrolled marvelously again!
