mcdonald got busted using P.E.D.s in 2005.

it seem as though the red sox are having a "bridge year" so dont expect much. i feel sorry for all the suckers that are spending big bucks to watch bill hall and darnell mecdonald. this ownership doesnt care about anything but making money hand over fist.the sox are one of the most expensive nights out in all of pro sports. to watch these guys? no thanks.

Meanwhile, I've gladly done it 5 times already, and will continue to do so. So, you know...some people like baseball more than others. That is ok. It doesn't make either of us a sucker.

Plus, I don't consider a $25 ticket to be outlandish. It's movie-theater level spending.

i just feel like the team is more interested in everything but baseball.i watch every game but i can no longer spend my money there. they have a team on the field that cannot win. third place team this year.

...then you can not have loved them for long.

They've had a winning record, and generally contended for at least a wild-card until late in the regular season, every year from 1998 onwards.

And if you only love them when they win, you're missing half the joy when they do turn it around and do well. I kind of feel sorry for fair weather fans, to be honest.

To some of us, the Sox are like an old friend who won a bunch of money in the lottery, started acting different, started hanging around with jerks and phonies, and forgot about their old friends. I still love 'em, but it's a little bit harder now.

i grew up a mile from fenway park. i worked there, as a clubhouse attendant for a year and a half. my red sox employee ID allowed me to sneak into games for the next ten years. i think i saw almost everyone of clemens' starts when he was here, and i saw pedro pitch at least a dozen times in person. i love the game and i have always loved the sox but its just not the same anymore.

$25 tickets were abundant a few weeks ago when they were selling the 3 game SRO pack. There were plenty of $28 bleacher seats available, too. Heck, you can still get the cheap SRO tickets for late-season games. The myth of outrageously priced tickets only applies to people who insist on sitting in close-up box seats. Are tickets a little pricey? Sure. But getting 2 people into a game for $50 seems like a reasonable date night to me, a few times a year.

the park used to hold about 32 thousand. they would sell a limited amount of SRO tickets each night. im not sure how those numbers worked. since then, they have installed the monster seats, the right field deck and every other section of the park they could cram seats into. then when they ran out of space they started with these SRO packs. so what you basically have is a park that used to seat about 32 thousand that now seats closer to 37-38 thousand? on top of all those extra people you now have how many thousand SRO ticket people wandering around looking for a spot to watch the game? it takes 45 minutes to get to your seat because of the crowd. once in your seat you can barely watch the game becuase there are so many people coming and going in front of you. you also get the SRO folks sitting in seats that dont belong to them forcing everyone to move when the real seats owners arrive. its too much.

p.s. they suck this year anyway

So it's too expensive to let people go. But they have too many cheap seats making it sort-of-affordable. And 45 minutes to get to your seat? Are you kidding? You're going in the wrong gate. Just go in the gate that your ticket tells you to go through, and get there 10 minutes before the first pitch.

They've built new restrooms, new food stands, new everything.

And the SRO numbers are counted in the 37,000 or so.

You're ranting crazy here.
